http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/new Here is a motherload science interactive teaching and learning applications.  Take a look.  They teach and some have games to apply the learning.

http://forensics.rice.edu/ Three cases, featuring the characters from the TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, that teach forensic science.  These deal with DNA matching, fingerprints, and much much more.  The three cases range for easy to difficult in terms of effort to solve.  These are very inovative and fun.  Great way to learn about careers and the science is wonderfully embedded throughout.

Funded through the National Center for Research Resources and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.  Lots of variety in learning activities but still engaging and fun.  Science is taught in ways that make the learning exciting and memorable.

In Mission One: Orientation At O.R.B., students get an introduction to infectious diseases and pathogens.

In Mission Two: Peril in Prokaryon, students learn about infectious pathogens and epidemiology while investigating a cholera outbreak.  In Mission Three: Nemesis in Neuropolis, students learn about viruses and vaccines while investigating a smallpox case.  In Mission Four: Malady in Mabuufo, students learn about malaria, the history of malaria research, and disease vectors.  IMission Five: Zero Hour Zoonoses, students learn about zoonotic pathogens and the diseases they cause, while trying to prevent a bioterror attack.

Chemdex (http://www.chemdex.org/) - "The directory of chemistry on the Web," Chemdex is featured in the Institute for Scientific Information's premium collection of evaluated scholarly Web sites. There are over 7,208 links here, so this really is the starting place for finding chemical sites.

EdSelect (http://www.edselect.com/) - Collection of sites chosen for classroom use by Ontario teachers. Pat Elliott, a teacher-librarian with Simcoe County District School Board, selected these to match the provincial curriculum. See the curriculum (K-8) on Science & Technology and Mathematics.

InfoMine (http://infomine.ucr.edu) - This scholarly resource collection includes tens of thousands of sites, grouped into 9 annotated, indexed categories (databases) for easy retrieval. Cramster is a global study community comprised of students and teachers helping each other understand how to solve problems for math and science subjects like Physics, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Machanincal Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, etc. Cramster gives students access to various types of study resources like textbook solutions, topic notes, sample problems, and practice exams.
